Digital Citizen was a monthly review of news, policy, and research on human rights and technology in the Arab World. It is published in English, Arabic, and French during 2013-2016.

The review was produced collaboratively by six organizations— Access, AdvoxAPC, EFF, 7iber (pronounced ‘Hiber’), and Social Media Exchange (SMEX)—and written by a collective of more than 20 individuals from throughout the Arab region and the world.

Digital Citizen was sent out as newsletter and is simultaneously published on partner websites. The newsletter, or portions of it, are also available for syndication.

Topics covered by Digital Citizen included censorship, media freedom, ICT sector development, surveillance, and other issues related to human rights and technology.
